The New Jersey-born hip-hop artist, producer, and musician affiliated with Manwell and Blaze Torch, YoVedo, started off his music career as Elijah Acevedo and was known for his darker, auto-tuned, centered musical flow. In 2017, Elijah aka Yovedo began to make music independently, which led to an intense desire to perfect his craft as an artist and producer. YoVedo began rapping and performing with his father Erik Acevedo (Blaze Torch) at six years old and grew up around prominent figures in the Christian rap community. Being cultivated in the church, he learned how to run a studio, record live sound, and play the acoustic, electric, and bass guitar.
His debut project, "March Madness," came out on all platforms on March 1st, 2019. Elijah Acevedo, the then-producer, released a number of music projects. Since his debut, they have accumulated over 250k streams. These include two singles and two projects called "The Highway" (2019), "Gatsby" (2019), "Rookie and the Vet" (2019), and "Merry Christmas" (2019). In 2020, the following year, he dropped three singles and two projects entitled "Nautica" (2020), "Highs and Lows" (2020), "Scarlet Tiffany" (2020), "Teli Teli" (2020), and his anticipated "Blue Milk Christmas" (2020). In 2021, he followed up with singles titled "Every Time" (2021), "I Said" (feat. Elijah Cruz), "You and Me" (2021), and his hit record "Wit Me Now" (feat. OG Homi), which accumulated over 100K streams. In 2022, he would release his last solo single, "Codependent" (feat. Felicia), under his former alias.
A friend and mentor to Yovedo, Manwell would help form and cultivate his craft upon meeting again on Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles, in 2017. In 2021, Angela Johnson's husband and former frontman of a famous rap and pop group, "Group 1 Crew," began working on music with YoVedo. YoVedo has since landed four records with Manwell on two-holiday projects, which he helped write and produce. These records were called "The Nutcracker" (2021), "Merry Christmas to You" (2021), "This Christmas" (2022), "A Holly Jolly Christmas" (2022)
